Community Resources
District 3 has two officers walking the beat Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and Friday and Saturday evenings until 3am. When they are on duty, call the dispatch number and ask for these officers specifically. Their names are Officer Austin Gunadi and Officer Luke Hatwan. We have resources right here in our District that can support us, and we know who to call. It is important for residents and businesses to not only report emergencies but non-emergencies too, so there is a record of the incidents occurring throughout District 3 and they will be in the database. When it is in the database, we can show what other resources are needed to maintain the safety and quality of life in District 3. If a non-emergency occurs on a day that the officers are not on duty, you can still call to report it and email them to ensure the next time they are on duty they can respond and check it out. (Emails: luke.hatwan@longbeach.gov and austin.gunadi@longbeach.gov)
If it is homelessness related and a non-emergency, call the non-emergency line and ask for the REACH team or Quality of Life team first. Numbers are below for easy accessibility.
